This is a mixed media portrait of my father using objects and knowledge obtained from him, my blood-related father, as well as all professors, teachers, instructors and friends I have interacted with throughout my life(non-blood-related parents). At first, it is witnessed as an awkward pile of junk while focusing on the single pieces of discarded objects. When viewed from a distance, through a 1960's field camera placed 8 feet in front of the sculpture, the image is refracted and inverted by the camera lens, a portrait is revealed, and all imperfections originally seen in each object becomes obsolete. A greater Whole is acknowledged when viewed from an alternate perspective.
